The vendors wait, the trophies lean,

He’s sipping coffee, looking serene.

Someone shouts, “The raffle lurks!”

He wanders off to “check a thing,”

No one knows where. The phones all ring.

A mic goes dead, wires twist and jerk—

“Scottie, get back to work!”

He smirks and shrugs, “I’ve done my part!”

While volunteers push carts with heart.

A judge breaks down and begins to twerk—

“Scottie, get back to work!”

Yet somehow still, the Clash survives,

The fish are bagged, the crowd arrives.

And through it all, his one true perk:

The rally cry—“Scottie, get back to work!”
